Project Description
Harris County and the Prestonwood Municipal Utility District are preparing to execute a drainage improvement project adjacent to a roadway and railroad track in Houston. The area has seen a significant amount of flooding in recent years and is in need of a more robust drainage system. With limited access to existing utility locations or utility records data, the client requested Vosburg Welsh conduct a subsurface investigation to identify, locate and mark all utilities that are impacted by the project. Vosburg Welsh technicians conducted a comprehensive records research phase to identify existing utility facilities and their owners within the project scope. We then utilized GPR technology and EM Detection equipment to locate and map over 5,000 LF of existing utilities.
